Fall 2021 Design Project
Redesign of the garden space adjacent to the Jackie Robinson Bath House in Washington Heights. The hedge maze serves as an attraction to the recreation center as well as a means to remind citizens of the black history that has paved the way for modern life. The exterior hedge maze is a public gesture that is contrasted by the isolated labyrinth pool, which serves as a way for visitors to retreat from urban life and connect with natural elements.
